Play Dohs for the Kiddos

A few days after volunteering to teach English and play with the kids at Angeles to Medellín, I decided to make some play doh to donate for the kids at the center. Though this idea started as an opportunity to donate, I realized as soon as my hands were in the dough, that I totally love play doh. I mean, who doesn’t? So I spent the next couple of hours volunteering my time to play with some play doh in my kitchen… It was a little bit challenging because I’ve never used powered food coloring before (note: it’s VERY potent), but who am I kidding? This was super fun. And I even did a little color mixing to see what would happen. This is what happened.

And the feedback from the kids was great! Of course. Again, who doesn’t love play doh? If you’d like to make your own play doh (OMG you totally want to do this. Trust me.), here’s the recipe I used. Also, if you are using powered food coloring, just add a little bit at a time or you’re going to have blue hands…
